Kahn founded the Archive of the Synapse in 1999 to promote the study of the Synapse, a mythical corridor that runs between multiple intertwined worlds, including our own. Drawing from sources that range from Inuit folktales to modern String Theory, the Archive house a collection of over a hundred manuscripts, ritual objects, historical replcas and mechanical simulacra.
