Digital technologies, new communication tools and the resulting social networks we use are changing the relationship between narratives and our lives, creating open spaces for people to interact and connect across the line of reality and narrative fictions. For the Fall 2013 session of Southern Exposure’s YAB, Meredith Leich, Nina Rodriguez and the Youth Advisory Board Artists present The Z Narrative. The Z Narrative explores social networks through an interactive installation and reenactment of the narrative space of Facebook. This installation invites spectators to participate in an interpretation of the website and examine how social networks can transform identity, communication and storytelling in modern life.
