Touch features paintings, sculpture and poetry by six artists and six writers. The poets were invited to pair up with the artists as a way to open up a dialogue between two disciplines. Some of the artists and writers worked closely together collaborating on specific pieces for the exhibition, while others paired up recognizing already existing parallels in their working processes and imagery. The visual work in Touch focuses primarily on the conspicuousness of the artist’s hand in the material and in the process.
