Points of Passing is a multimedia exhibition based on a series of workshops lead by artists Chiara Giovando and Heather Rogers with low income and homeless artists working in San Francisco. The project extends “the relationships that people have on the street, in public and civic spaces, which are usually at a point of passage.”  Elaborating on the Street Sheet, a monthly tabloid published by the Coalition on Homelessness (COH) for the last eight years, the exhibition attempts to create a space where poverty and the experiences and politics surrounding it are brought to a point of arrival, or departure. The exhibition features drawing, painting and printmaking created in the workshops, as well as a video produced by Street Watch, a program of the COH, documenting police interaction with the homeless.
