Wes Christensen’s paintings and drawings are traditional in technique, playing with art history in search of a kind of historic validation for the unfinished stories he presents…Christensen’s works, like those of the old masters in whose footsteps he follows, often tell an ambiguous story inviting the viewer to interpret their meaning.
