The performance An Atmosphere But For an Instant can be read as a “ghostly chimera within a site of abandonment.” Is an 80 minute, audience-interactive piece that features slide projectors, pre-recorded video and audio, props and live action. These elements combine with those of the installation to refer to the artist’s own participation, as spectator and performer, in the social evolution of the former communist bloc.
