Join members of Preemptive Media, Beatriz da Costa and Jamie Schulte, for a conversation about their project in Vapor, AIR. AIR is a public, social experiment in which people are invited to use Preemptive Media’s portable air monitoring devices to explore their neighborhoods and urban environments for pollution and fossil fuel burning hotspots. While AIR explores the human-generated content of the air that we breathe, the group will discuss this work with a focus on the actual sources of air contaminants and how they relate to an industrialized culture.
