Ethan Caflisch writes of this work: "This series is very comfortable. Growing up in the midwest, it was very common to see quilts hanging inside homes - most of which were made by older relatives and often made by necessity; needing warmth, having scraps, making do."

Caflisch was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and lives and works in the Bay Area. He received his individualized BFA from California College of the Arts in 2015.
