Actual Reality by Lucky Dragons

Lucky Dragons includes:
Electronics: Luke Fischbeck, Sarah Rara
Flute: Diane Grubbe, Jeremy Harris, Meerenai Shim
Voice: Colter Jacobsen, Meara O'Reilly, David Wilson

Los Angeles-based Lucky Dragons create non-hierarchical performances incorporating musical orchestration, live video, and audience collaboration in many media. In conjunction with Zero1 Biennial's performance series 9 Evenings, Lucky Dragons will perform Actual Reality, a program for three Bay Area flute players, three voices, and a moire pattern light and sound instrument. Actual Reality is a term that is used as a foil to reflect upon nuanced degrees of the imaginary. In this performance, Lucky Dragons develop a multi-layered work, resynthesizing past iterations of the piece as presented in slightly different forms, uncentering the original work and allowing us to bounce between the various live and echoed components.

How it moves:
Plural and differentiable
wild omni motion system
bound to churn
something discernible—
Optimism
in a sea of permeative
World Question
