Collaborative artists Castaneda/Reiman’s installation…activates both floor and wall space, placing the audience directly into the work. Viewers are invited to walk upon a giant wood and glass chess board, reveal hidden monitors and become players in this microcosmic piece. The interactve installation speaks eloquently of female empowerment, oppression, and an unveiling of subterranean pain. By collaborating with their audience, the artists’ work problematizes notions of authorship.
