Artists in Education Internship

 

Southern Exposure seeks an Artists in Education (AIE) intern with an interest in arts education, curriculum development, public programming and outreach. The AIE intern works under the supervision of the AIE Program Director to help to coordinate and administer AIE programs (Youth Advisory Board, Mission Voices Summer and the One-On-One Mentorship program), print material and exhibitions. The intern also helps research community organizations, designs and implements community outreach strategies, and tracks outreach efforts. The intern will help to identify and target community groups, schools and neighborhoods that would be interested in upcoming educational programs, exhibitions and events through publicity and promotion, and active invitation.

Duration: January – June 2016, approximately 6-8 hours/week
