Adobe Books is one of the oldest used bookstores in the Mission District of San Francisco and an active supporter of the art and literary community. The shop hosts a wide range of free literary events, countless music performances and significant art exhibitions.
All proceeds from the auction will go directly toward paying a portion of the annual rent and operating costs of the Backroom Gallery including monthly exhibition costs through 2010. This year Southern Exposure generously opens their space on 14th Street as the site of the auction and celebration. The additional space will aid Adobe Books' efforts to exhibit more work at once, increase auction participation and celebrate 20 years together.
