This spring, the Artists in Education Final Project showcases work by artists in our Contemporary Classrooms and One-on-One Mentorship programs, as well as the Youth Advisory Board.

Contemporary Classrooms is an ongoing series of workshops that take place in SFUSD high school classrooms, formulated in collaboration with an exhibiting SoEx artist or project.

The One-on-One Mentorship Program offers youth artists, ages 16–21, the opportunity to develop and produce a project with a professional artist mentor who works in an area or medium of their interest. The program offers youth artists, of all skill levels, a professional space and forum to work on their portfolio, to gain the skills to get into art school, or take their artistic practice to the next level.

The Youth Advisory Board is a dedicated group of teen artists who work to promote and facilitate teen involvement at Southern Exposure. In weekly meetings, YAB members initiate and organize art events, exhibitions, and projects for Southern Exposure.
