Artists Mabel Negrete and Josh Short conducted a workshop at the Columbia Park Boys & Girls Club where participants created a temporary independent publishing studio, Power Park Publications (PPP) that examined local neighborhood park, Kid Power Park, located on Hoff Street between 16th and 17th Streets in the Mission District near Southern Exposure. This temporary independent publishing art studio introduced students how to journal, edit, design and distribute two experimental publications studying the location and ecology of Kid Power Park.
