Real Time and Space

Real Time and Space

This artist-run organization, based in Oakland’s Chinatown, provides affordable studio space for artists and a public program venue to a broad community of artists and organizations. Their robust residency program awards 6-10 residencies annually to local and international artists, providing not only space but a public platform to present and discuss their work. For five years, this diverse exchange has generated valuable relationships for local artists and connected artists across the globe to the Bay Area art community. The Alternative Exposure grant supports the 2017 season of residency and public programs.
