Sofia Mas is a native of Los Angeles, California. She began studying art by defacing her parent’s book collection at the tender age of 3. Since then she has been collecting her own art books and has earned her B.A in art history at California State University Northridge. She uses paintings, mixed-media, and photography to tell stories of culture, magic and sexuality. You can find her living in her dream city of San Francisco, where she is currently interning at Southern Exposure, assisting in administering the Artist in Education program and Mission Summer Voices. She hopes to continue nurturing her love for art education by advocating youth to develope a trusting relationship with their community and beyond.
