Carlos Ramirez was born and raised in Los Angeles or as his grandfather says, “Mi Tierra Santa”. He is passionate about art, education, and the cosmos. His desire is to be involved in programs and organizations in art and education that emphasize accessibility to all. Before moving to the Bay Area to begin his graduate studies, he worked at Pasadena City College as Ceramics Lab Technician amongst a vibrant and diverse community of artists, educators and students. He is an artist whose medium of choice is clay and with interests stemming from interconnectedness. In addition to being a part of Mission Voices Summer, he has also been active in Southern Exposure’s volunteer program assisting in setup and installation of exhibitions. He is halfway to getting an MFA at the CCA.
