Associate Director, Southern Exposure
Amanda has a deep commitment to supporting the arts and is an active participant in both the local and national arts communities. Before joining Southern Exposure she was the Program Manager at the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC) where she managed NAMAC’s Regional Meeting and Capacity Building Support programs and helped develop the network of NAMAC members. Amanda is currently on the Board of Directors for The Association of American Cultures (TAAC) and was an elected member of the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Council. Amanda began her work in the arts as a video editor at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio, where she worked on projects such as Flag Wars (Linda Goode Bryant, Laura Poitras 2003), HABIT (Gregg Bordowitz 2001), and Swan Tool (Miranda July 2001). Her experience in the arts also includes exhibiting her own work and curating public programs. Amanda holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
