Southern Exposure seeks 1 part-time contract Teaching Artist and 1 part-time contract Teaching Artist Assistant (2 openings) for Southern Exposure's Youth Advisory Board.

Two Teaching Artists, along with Southern Exposure's Artists in Education Program Director and AIE program intern, will collaborate to produce curriculum that explores the artist’s practice and ideas. The workshop mediums can range from digital media, sculpture, photography, painting and any materials or concepts that the artists are interested in exploring (It is strongly recommended for artists to review past projects before applying). Recent projects have included experimental video production, explorations of narrative comic space and a public art project. Teaching artists work with approximately 15 to 20 teenagers to produce a final project produced through the winter and spring that will be presented to the public at Southern Exposure.
