Production Intern

Production Intern

The production internship is ideal for someone with an interest in AV gear and a desire to learn about the contemporary arts scene. Under the supervision of the Projects and Exhibitions Program Director, the production intern works directly with Southern Exposure artists to install and strike their events and exhibitions and maintain the gallery's appearance. This intern will assist with the inventory, planning, organization, and set up of all AV equipment, gallery materials, and supplies, including the maintenance, labeling, purchase and in-kind donations of tools, paint, technical equipment, pedestals, tables, etc. Past experience with audio and/or video equipment, familiarity with cables, handling artwork, and painting and preparing walls is preferred, but not necessary. The ability to be organized and to endure mild physical labor is a must. As part of the SoEx team, all interns are expected to provide general support to the Projects and Exhibitions Program Director and staff in daily tasks if requested.
