Archive Intern

The archive internship is ideal for someone who is interested in learning about preserving Southern Exposure’s history, learning about the alternative arts space movement and conducting archival research. The archive intern will work with SoEx staff members to secure archival documents, catalog items in the archive and eventually make accessible to the public the organization’s rich 41-year history. The position involves organizing digitized archival materials and photographs, researching and reconstructing past programming at Southern Exposure, and migrating archival data to a future archive website. The candidate must possess excellent organization and research skills, as well as proficiencies in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, and Microsoft Word and Excel. SoEx seeks candidates who can commit four to six hours a week for a six-month period.

To apply: Submit a cover letter and resume by January 4, 2016 to [email protected], or call 415-863-2141 for more information. A SoEx staff member will respond to you within 7-10 days.
