AIE is hiring! Become a Youth Advisory Board Teaching Artist

Southern Exposure is hiring two part-time teaching artists for our Spring 2014 Artists in Education (AIE) Youth Advisory Board program

Southern Exposure seeks two Teaching Artists: 1 part-time Contract Teaching Artist and 1 part-time Contract Assistant Artist for its Youth Advisory Board (YAB) program. The two instructors, along with Southern Exposure's Artist in Education Program Manager, will collaborate and work with approximately 10–15 teenagers this spring, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6 PM. Together, the teaching artists will facilitate a YAB-generated project to be presented to the public at Southern Exposure. The class will be based on a socially relevant theme identified by YAB students through research, field trips and discussion. Teachers will facilitate skills in conceptual investigation, art making, project design and planning.

Deadline to submit application: Monday, November 25, 2013, by 5:00 PM. This is not a postmark deadline. No original artworks, email or fax submissions will be accepted.
