Celebrating 10 Years of Alternative Exposure

Celebrating 10 Years of Alternative Exposure

We are proud to inaugurate the tenth year of our Alternative Exposure grant program, which supports the independent, self-organized work of artists and small groups playing a critical and significant role in the San Francisco Bay Area visual arts community.

Online applications are now being accepted. See guidelines on How to Apply and attend an Information Session in July or August to find out more. The deadline to apply is September 22, 2016.

Learn about the many projects funded by Rounds 1–9 of Alternative Exposure, or search #151DaysofAltEx on Twitter to see the latest news from our grantees.

Since launching the program in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in 2007, Southern Exposure has awarded over half a million dollars in direct funds to 151 Bay Area projects led by self-organized artists and small groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. Southern Exposure is proud to support the inception or growth of these projects and to reinforce the value of the Bay Area visual arts community.
