Southern Exposure is now accepting applications for Alternative Exposure 2010, Round IV. Alternative Exposure grants provide direct support to visual arts projects in San Francisco and Alameda Counties that provide frameworks of support for artists to create and continue their work. It gives grants of up to $3,500 to support the work of unincorporated groups, burgeoning art venues and gathering spaces, publications, collectives, events and more.

INFORMATION SESSIONS
Southern Exposure will host three information sessions to provide more detailed information on the application process, questions of eligibility, appropriate uses of the grant funds, and to answer any other questions.

Join SoEx for an introductory workshop about grant writing for individual artists, led by Yesenia Sanchez, an independent coach and consultant for artists, non-profits and social entrepreneurs. Gain insights on what makes your writing compelling and how to avoid common pitfalls. This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about grant writing as an individual artist.

2) SAMPLE - Annoted List of Visual Support Materials - This is an optional reference. Applicants are not required to use this template.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications must be received at Southern Exposure’s office by 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 (this is not a postmark date). Hand deliveries will be accepted.
