Nathaniel Parsons was raised in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, hometown of Tim Conway and Bill Waterson. He mowed the Conway's yard and sled on the infamous hill. His parents and brothers are the best artists in the world. He went to CCAC in Oakland graduating in 1993 with a BFA, wonderful friends, and great teachers. He sang songs in a band called Little My, playing shows, making souvenirs for the audience.

His MFA is from the University of Iowa; more excellent friends and teachers, collaborators and mentors. Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Drawing and Performance. Alter Egos, Visiting Parks, Shared Authorship and Storytelling. An observational artist, he chooses to work on projects, new, worn and carved from what appears needed. Paintings are made on surfaces where some element comes from a a found source, stretcher bars, milled wood, cut offs. There is a continual effort to reach Point Sublime.
