Jason Jägel is a visual artist based in San Francisco. His work in painting, drawing, sculpture and installation has been exhibited nationally and internationally since 1995. Jägel's work appears in the public collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The UCLA Hammer Museum and the Portland Museum of Art, among others. Awards include fellowships from the Fleishhacker Foundation (2001), The San Francisco Arts Commission (2010) and the Pollack-Krasner Foundation (2012). In 2017 Jason will paint two murals with the San Francisco Arts Commission, at Balboa Pool and the San Francisco International Airport, SFO. Currently on view until April 9th is “Experts In Strangers Dreams,” a collaborative installation with Juan Luna-Avin at Royal NoneSuch Gallery in Oakland, CA. In conjunction with the exhibition, Juan and Jason will host a multi-media performance event, “Continuous Festival,” at Royal NoneSuch on Saturday April 1st from 2–9pm.
