A 2009 MFA graduate of CCA, Ruiz makes monumentally scaled, exuberant paintings layered with social reference - cross-pollinating recognizable people and places into fantastic fantasy moments. Ruiz most recently had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Santa Barbara.
