Chip Lord was a founder and member of Ant Farm 1968–1978. Curtis Schreier was a member of Ant Farm. They produced the Ant Farm video works Media Burn and The Eternal Frame and continued to work with video and installation during the 1980's and 90's.

In 2007, along with Bruce Tomb, they were commissioned to produce a work for the SFMOMA exhibition, The Art of Participation curated by Rudolf Freiling. Revisiting the Ant Farm Media Van the team created a "post-internal combustion" vehicle with a Media Huqquh at its center in order to make a digital Time Capsule. A year after the SFMOMA exhibition, SFMOMA Time Capsule Triptych was shown in the Bellwether show at SOEX. Chip Lord is represented by The Rena Bransten Gallery.
