In Round 2 of the Alternative Exposure grant program, Southern Exposure awarded $50,000 to 18 projects at levels ranging from $800 to $3,000.

An outside panel selected the 2008 grantees. Jurors included Kerri Johnson, artist and co-owner of Blankspace Gallery in Oakland; Bruce Tomb and artist, architect and teacher; and Elizabeth Thomas, the Phyllis Wattis MATRIX Curator at Berkeley Art Museum.
